Classes and Educational Programs in Arts and Crafts

My rates are:
$45 USD per 1 hour private classes
$25 USD per 1 hour group classes of 4 lampworking, (includes materials).
group classes of 4-8 students, $500 USD day
group classes of 8-25 students, $800 USD day
Sliding scale prices are available for non-profits and schools, please contact for rates and ideas for art classes for your group.

Learn to make beads, marbles, small sculptures, small vessels, and other molten glass creations on the torch, in one of our group or private classes in the studio. After a series of classes, or with previous experience you can rent time on one of the torches. Email Kat for more info.
Silver Fabrication Classes
Learn silver fabrication, tool operation and soldering techniques for jewelry in private hourly classes. Email Kat for more info. Private teaching fees are $45 an hour, Some materials are an additional fee.
Wire Wrapping and Copper Foldforming Classes
Learn basic wire wrapping skills and hammering for a no-solder approach to jewelry making and copper foldforming to make cuffs. Link beads into a chain, shape earring wires and make clasps, hammer to create surface texture, rivet, strengthen and reshape, and add loose, freeform objects to jewelry. These are private one-on-one classes, costs for instruction are $45 an hour, some materials are an additional fee. Email Kat
Mosaic and Concrete Sculpture Classes
Learn how to mosaic using glass, ceramic and stone materials on a handmade concrete sculpture form or for stepping stones. Learn to make bird baths and benches for your garden and outdoor spaces. Metal Art Clay Classes
Occasionally we host visiting metal clay, bead and other artists to teach classes. This is visiting artist Gordon Uyehara, teaching a class on techniques using silver Metal Art Clay. Gordon has been featured on the cover of Art Jewelry Magazine and has won the prestigious Saul Bell Award and is author of the book Metal Clay Fusion. Please email or contact for info
Fused Glass Classes
You can learn how to fuse compatible glass for tiles, jewelry and tableware. Learn to manipulate glass rods in the torch as well as use glass frit, powders, wire and stringers for unique design elements. Learn to prepare your kiln and use fusing schedules while we complete finishes pieces. Please contact Kat or email for class availability.
